My entire family has passed away." 20 dead following Israeli airstrike on Rafah, according to medical personnel.

According to hospital sources, an Israeli bombardment over Rafah, Gaza, overnight into Monday resulted in the deaths of twenty persons, including at least one child and a toddler.

After the incident, the deceased were taken to the Abu Youssef Al Najjar hospital in Rafah, where their loved ones gathered to say their last goodbyes.  Numerous body bags are seen on the ground in a video taken in the hospital courtyard, and dozens of distraught men, women, and children have gathered around their departed loved ones.

Some of the people bending over the corpse bags are seen stroking the lifeless bodies of their loved ones. A mother next to a bag with at least one baby's head poking out cries, "My whole family has perished."  Mahmoud Abu Taha, the baby's uncle, spoke to the camera while holding the dead body of the one-year-old and revealed that his parents had attempted to conceive for ten years prior to his birth.

"We did nothing but laze around in our houses. The way they hit the house was surprising. "Everyone was sound asleep in their beds. The majority of those who died were displaced women and children," he claimed.  "This is who they are targeting," sobs Mahmoud Abu Taha, lifting the baby boy's body towards the camera. This is what they want to achieve. They are searching for this generation. This is the secure Rafah that they discuss.

In the video, a different Abu Taha family member claims that ten of his relatives perished in the airstrike. A prior Israeli airstrike had murdered some of his relatives in Khan Younis, from where some of them had originally been displaced. He claims that the last few people who had escaped Khan Younis to Rafah's safety have now perished there over night.  "At approximately 12:20 am, they were dozing off in their houses when the airstrike occurred. There is no safety anywhere. The goal is the whole Gaza Strip.

"We want to survive," he said, pleading with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the conflict. Peace is what we desire. Enough violence against Arabs.

Another witness reports that Ghaith Abu Rayya, a five-day-old child, perished in the attack. In the video, he can be seen removing a tiny body bag to display the baby's head and declaring that the rest of his body has been severed.  Each of us is by ourselves. We are unimportant to anyone," he sobs.
