According to the minister, a Turkish aviation company attack results in fatalities.

Authorities have described the reportexplosion at the offices of an aviation company near Ankara as a terror assault.

On X, Ali Yerlikaya, the nation's interior minister, wrote: "Unfortunately, we have martyrs and injured people."

The NTV television channel first displayed pictures of a big smoke cloud in front of Turkish Aerospace Industries' (TAI) entrance, which is around 40 kilometers outside the capital.

Local media reported hearing gunshots.


They reported that the bomb took occurred around the time of a shift change, and staff had to be relocated to shelters.

Medical personnel and firefighters have been sent to the location.


Mansur Yavas, the mayor of the Ankara metropolitan area, expressed his sadness over the news in a statement.

"I pray that God would have pity on our martyrs and that our wounded will heal quickly. We denounce terrorism. My sympathies.

A major force in Turkey's aerospace sector, TAI designs, develops, and produces a range of aircraft for both military and commercial applications.

 

The explosion happened at a significant trade show for the aerospace and defense sectors that was taking place in Istanbul this week.
